Spa Safey
Think Safety First
When using your Spa please consider the following safety thoughts, serious injury could result form the incorrect use of a spa product.
Drowning
Drowning is the third leading cause of accidental death for children under five. The water depth of a spa is sufficient for drowning to occur. Be especially careful with children under five. NEVER allow children in or around the spa unattended. Use lockable covers for the spa.
Elevated Body Temperature
Soaking for too long at too high temperatures can elevate body temperature and the temperature of internal organs beyond safe limits. Infants and children are especially sensitive to high temperatures, as are people with certain medical conditions such as pregnant women, diabetics, heart patients and those taking certain prescription medicines.
Burns/Fires
Chemicals needed for clean, sanitized water are potentially harmful when stored or used improperly. Ensure that all chemicals are stored in accordance with the instructions provided on the packaging. If mixed with other chemicals or elements, explosions and fire can occur.
Electric Shock
Water is an excellent conductor of electricity. Electric shock can occur in a spa if live electrical current (including current from a telephone) comes into contact with the water.
Cuts, Contusions and Abrasions
The spa and spa environment can be a source of injury to users. Slipping and falling can result in cuts and scrapes, or broken legs and arms. Horseplay, improper use of equipment or failure to follow manufactures' instructions or warnings can result in injury.
